hi there, I have linked my hp pavillion ze5200 laptop to my tv in order to watch movies but cannot get the picture on my tv screen. I can see all the other things such as the desktop, picture files, web pages etc...but no video. I have sound too. Can anyone please offer any advice.

You are trying to play DVD's?

Do you get any error messages?

Can you play these DVD's on the computer itself?

Some setups like this require an adapter between the computer & the TV.
I've looked at the online manual with no luck. Perhaps check your printed manual for this setup to see if it requires such an adapter.

thanks for the reply, have found the problem now. the video stream can be shown on either the laptop or the tv screen, not both together. I simply have to swap the setting each time I want to watch a movie on the big screen.
