OK, This is a REALLY LONG STORY. It all started when I got to a certain part of the Lord Of The Rings Video Game and the screen started flashing and it froze the game. I called the makers of the game an they said to install the latest Directx ( the game was supposed to work with 7.0 and I already had 9.0b) and to update my video card drivers (Ati radeon 9250 256mb ram) so I did both, an then my pc said "ntoskernal.exe is missing or corrupt. Please reinstall this file" or somthing to the same effect. So I reinstalled Windows (XP Pro), and when I was finished,I notced that my Video Card did not go past 1024x920 pixels or somthing and it used to do twice that. I investigated and found that windows was using vgasava as the video driver so I disabled it. Then my pc's video completely died. So I tried to install windows again. Now it freezes when it says "Setup is restarting..." I am desperate... The only reason I could submit this is because my moms laptop still works. HELP!!!!!!! A Techy without his pc is not a pretty sight!!!

Oh, and I have an AMD 64 3000+ With 512mb ram, 120gb hdd, cd-burner, cd-rom, zip 100, usb 2.0, 10-100 lan, and dial-up internet.
