My computer will only boot to a certain point then it restarts. I have tried starting it in all the different modes. It will go to the xp loading sign and then will flash a quick blue screen that i cannot read and then it starts the whole process all over again. what can i do to remedy this?

By all different modes do you mean all the modes via Safe Mode Options?

If none of them work then boot from your XP CD & try working from the Recovery Console:

My first go would be to run Chkdsk

If your XP is an OEM install check your manual for recovery options or post the exact make & model here.
