I am using a Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop with Win XP Media Center Edition. This is a brand new laptop . Suddenly it does not want to accept input from the mouse or keyboard . It seems to boot up but that is it. Nothing else happens or wants to work .

Have booted up in safe mode but nothing jumps out at me for what might be wrong.

In the Event View/System log there is DCOM 10010 errors for the regular bootup.

Any idea's?

My first response would be to take it back & demand a new machine.

That being said:

Also check the Device Manager: RT click My Computer then click Manage then Device Manager or go to Start | Run and type in: devmgmt.msc for any "!"
