win32:trojan-gen {vc}
I too get regular warnings from Avast that my PC has the Win32:Trojan-Gen {VC}. It informs me the virus is in C:\system32\d?dplay.exe. I have tried running Avast, Adaware, spybot etc but none of them can locate the file or virus. I have tried following advice given to others ie, disabling system restore, rebooting and enabling system restore again but I still get the virus warning. As far as I can tell the virus is causing no trouble as Avast is not opening it. How do I get rid of this annoying problem? Finally as Avast is installed and updated regularly how did I get it in the first place?
