Dual Screen Problems

Dual Screen Problems
Hello, i have recently bought a PCI radeon 9800 (i think) graphics card for my PC, which currently has intel motherboard graphics. When i try to connect two screens at once, the computer just instantly reboots (now that XP just sends the TERM signal now instead of blue screenin....)
Both my monitors perform fine when only one is connected and both graphics cards run fine independantly.....
Any ideas would be welcome, can provide any more information that would be needed....
Thanks in advance

Your Radeon, Does it have DVI as well as VGA? If so, disable the onboard Intel graphics chip and use the DVI and VGA connections. At my work here we use that to have dual monitors. XP can not handle 2 different video drivers without issues. If you had 2 intel based video, it might do it, if you had 2 nVidia based cards, it might do it, but not 2 different video cards. We tried combining nVidia, Ati, Matrox, Intel, S3/Diamond/Trident etc. and found that it had to be the same manufacturer and chipset for our XP machines to run dual monitors. An example is I have a Radeo 9200 with both VGA and DVI to VGA adapter and 2 monitors (typing this on the 2nd monitor while doing a remote session on the other!) Try that and see what happens.

ok, thanks. I will buy the required adaptor, i was just checkin if there was a simple way to fix this problem, but figured was probably a bug in XP,
