Windwos Saving Your Settings Problem
How come that sometimes (quite often) when I press the red Shut Down button on Windows XP it goes onto the blue windows screen says' logging off' then it says 'saving your settings' but instead of then continuing to shut down, it stays on the saving your settings screen for ages and ages until I have to switch the computer off by the computer. It quite oftn comes up with a couple of those grey ''End Program Now' boxes before this happens too. Whats going on?

it sounds like something is not shutting down properly
could you please tell me the programs which are having the problems

Its usually AOL which I have to click end now on, but the point is that I've shut down all of the AOL things (to my knowledge) even when I click control alt delete ther's no applications running
