I Got Win2k Server &win2kpro And I Wanna Upgrade, Actually Do A New Installation Of Winxp To Win2k Server. How Do I Do That?

What do you mean? Do you mean you have a partitioned harddrive with both OS installed?

yes..it looks like 1 partition with both os's installed

You have one partition with both XP & Win 2K Server?

& you want to remove the Win 2K Server?

Or are you saying you want 2 XP's?

no. i've got win 2000 pro and server on one partition. i want to do a new installation to server with win xp. cos u cant upgrade from server to xp pro.!!
how do u do that??? and without overwriting the other OS WIN 2000 Pro.

This is basicaly a continuation of your other thread:

To summarise what I said there:

1. You can not do anything with the server except remove it if you want to.

2. If you want to keep 2K Pro & install XP Pro you will need 2 partitions.

2a. If you have your 2K Pro disk as well as a full version XP Pro disk then you can reinstall 2K creating 2 partions followed by installing XP onto its' own partition.

2b. You can purchase partitioning software.

3. Do you have an upgrade XP CD or a Full Version XP CD?

3b. If an Upgrade CD then you will either need to have the 2K CD to use the upgrade or you will need to Upgrade on top of 2K.

i only got xp cd.

this means i'll have to re installed 2k pro??

You need to download a Partition Program that will allow you to repartition your hard drive without losing data.

Then create a new partition on which you can install XP.

Most Patition Programs cost $ but some have a free trial.
