I just got to college and this is my first experience with high speed internet. Well I haven't gotten it to work, all my computer is connected through is the LAN connection and I don't know how to get the ethernet connection to work. It says it is connected but I don't think it's doing anything. Can someone please help me?

start > Connect To > Show All Connections > Create a New Connection
...run thru the wizard there

or

start > control panel > network connections



any help?
