The only thing I have left is:

    1. Go to the Device Manager & Uninstall the drivers for each of these:

    unimodem audio

    audio codecx2

    legacy audio drivesmedia control x2

    2. Re-start the computer.

    3. Install the Audio Drivers from Packard Bell:

    http://support.packardbell.com/uk/my...roup=2000#show

    4. Go to Control Panel | Sounds & Audio Devices & run all the tests to verify sound.

    5. If there is still no sound repeat the above & try this driver:

    http://majorgeeks.com/download2350.html

(You may have to try several of the Mirrors as they don't all work all the time.
This is a .zip file. You need to let XP unzip it & then afterwards run the setup.exe)

    6. If still no sound after checking the Control Panel again then either contact Packard Bell or consider installing a Sound Card.

    Hope this helps.
