This may well be the wrong place to be asking this but then if i didnt have a problem i wouldnt be here in the first place. I have a laptop that has recently had some hardware issues that are now all fixed but i would like to reset the hard drive back to the original factory settings and pass it onto my mother. I have followed the instructions and inserted the recovery disk but from there things go a little pear shaped. All i get when i insert this disk is something called a ghost-thingy. Can anyone help me get my laptop restored to the original factory settings. I know i will lose everything on it but that is no problem. It is running windows xp and for some reason a lot of applications seem to be missing even though the shortcuts are in place. Thanks in advance
