Exclamation Loaded two XP programs by accident

I just got a new windows xp program this past weekend and have already encountered a problem. Instead of simply upgrading, someone accidentally loaded more than one program (both xp and 98, and I even think another xp) onto my computer. We had windows 98 previously, and I think traces of the 98 are still in the computer also. I would like to know how I can get rid of all the extra programs and stick with just ONE xp program. I'm able to use the internet, but my computer's memory is almost completely full with all these huge programs in it. I was thinking about deleting everything and just re-installing just one xp program, but I'm not sure if that will help or just make my situation worse.

    Thanks,
    blissful

P.S. my email is blisslaetus@yahoo.com or lionessofGod@gmail.com...feel free to use either if you have a solution...thanks again.

If you have a full version or upgrade XP CD the easiest thing is to do a Clean Installation.
It will wipe the drive of everything & install one XP.

There are various other ways to remove the extra XP & 98 but if you can clean install that would be the best & by far the easiest.

    Here are some good guides:

Thank you very much...this was kinda embarrassing because I'm a computer nerd, lol. Anyway, thanks again.

No problem We are here to help!

This is the best link to Clean Install. The XP CD will take care of everything, you don't need to delete anything yourself. The XP CD (if an upgrade) will need to see the 98 in order to upgrade. It uses it as proof of previous Windows, is why an upgrade CD costs less than a Full Version. Otherwise the CD's are identical.

    Hope this helps:
