I recently had to have windows xp re installed and it seems everything is in minimal set up. For example the icons on my desk top are smaller than the norm. Also when I sign on to aol all the windows are smaller than i would like. I know this is a basic setting operation but I cannot seem to find the answer...........help

Most settings are under Control Panel > Display > "appearence" as well as "effects" or under Settings if you wish to change the screen resolution itself.

The start menu & task bar are set by right clicking the start button & then click properties.

The Display options are also found by right clicking the desktop & then click properties.

Also a tip for temporary "magnification" is hold Ctrl & then the + or -
