    Do you mean:

    Stop: 0XOOOOOO8E etc. ?

Are you running the McAfee Personal Firewall program?

    If so read this:

How Do I Resolve the MPFirewall.SYS Blue Screen Error That May Occur When Using the McAfee® Personal Firewall Program?

You can turn it off & either use the XP sp2 built in firewall or else here is a free wall that is very good:

The FREE version of Outpost Firewall

anyway that seems to be the source of your error.

If you decide to 'turn off' McAfee; you can uninstall it if that option is under the program itself on the start menu; or via control panel Add/ Remove programs.
Or you can just stop it from starting by opening start > run > msconfig
Startup & uncheck McAfee or MPFIREWALL.sys

Let us know if we can help further.
