    memory could not be 'read'

    Hi,

I have had this problem for a while now and not managed to get it fixed. I've heard its anything from a memory leak, to bad memory to a java problem.
I am currently unable to test my memory as I do not have a floppy disk drive so I am hopeful it can still be fixed.
This is an example of the error:

I get this with various files and programs. It seems to happen the most when I right click media files. After the error message, the window closes and desktop goes blank for a moment before its re-started and my icons etc re-appear. Usually, upon reboot, the problem is gone for those files/programs. But then appear again, at random.
I have checked event viewer but can't see anything related to this problem.
    My PC is :
    Asus P4P800D Motherboard, Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz 800FSB Processor,512MB PC3200 400MHz DDR RAM (2 x 256MB), Windows XP Pro SP2 (did on SP1) too.

I would greatly appreciate any help, thank you
