when i download a program or file on my wifes screen it doesnt transfer it to my log on screen how do i fix this issue in windows xp .I realize i am a dummy but i thought it was supposed to do this automatically.

All different users on your XP machine have their own profiles and folders. If you download a file when using your wifes profile, simply save it under your folders.

Open Windows Explorer and browse to:
C:\Documents & Settings\Your Login Name\My Documents

Now if you always save files there they will be in your My Docs folder when you are logged in.
