    Outlook problem

    Every time I start outlook I get an error message:
    Microsoft Visual C++ Debug Library
    Debug Error!
    Program C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OUTLOOK.EXE
    abnormal program termination
    (press retry to debug)

    Pressing retry just throws me out, when I go in for a 2nd time it is fine.

    Have I done something wrong ?
    It is connecting to virgin.net
    I have deleted and redone the profile a few times, always the same thing happens !!

    In Office you can go to Help > Detect & Repair (you may need the original Office CD).

    As to Virgin.net: do you have Outlook set to Open IE automatically or does this just happen when you open IE from within Outlook?

    Also: what exactly is "the profile" you delete & redo?

    It happens when IE is already running so I have a dialup connection, then I open Outlook and get this message..

    I have 2 email profiles (I am using Outlook not Outlook Express) and it happens with both of them.

    I will try the detect and repair thingy
    Thanks

    When I usually use any program I always save my work. But this morning I didn't see my work with emails in ms outlook. I was very upset and tried to search an exit of this situation. My experience assisted me to manage this question quite qucikly. What is more the tool which was my salvation might to solve any other trouble - can not fix pst file.
