My printer was working fine last week. I installed win xp sp2 and now I get garbage. When u display print preview all looks well. When you print it it looks like symbols/wingdings/etc.. All printer settings look correct. Any ideas???

go to the printer makers web page and see if they have done a patch for problems related to sp2

I tested everything I could to no avail. The HP site offers no additional assistance. The printer in question is the HP laserjet 1100A. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Looks more like a conversion problem when converting screen fonts into printerfonts.

Thanks for everyone efforts. I went out to the HP site one more time and found LJ517en which did the trick. The printer output is once again readable. Thanks for everyones help. Problem solved.
