    Generic Host Process Services Error

When window loads up it brings up this error:

Generic Host Process for Win32 Services encountered a problem and needed to close.

It doesn't come up everytime i turn on my computer, but out of every 3 or 4 boot it brings this error. Now i'm getting annoyed with it!

Looking at the data error report it shows this:

    Error signature ----
    szAppName : svchost.exe szAppVer : 0.0.0.0 szModName : unknown
    szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

    Technical information:
    C:\DOCUME~1\mango\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER6c58.dir00\svch ost.exe.mdmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\mango\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER6c58.dir00\appc ompat.txt

    thanks for any help

What does the event viewer say ? Any errors there ?

Most likely this can be caused by a worm that trys to attack ur PC on port 137/139.

Which Servicepack is installed on your system ?

    Yepp, thats the EventViewer.

To be found in Start - Settings - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - EventViewer
There u will find any erros logged during boot into windows. Just have a look and let me know of any error messages in there
