    Video Out Problems

    Hi

I have a Toshiba Tecra 8200, I have recently bought an RCA cable so I can use a TV as a monitor. I am using Windows XP and the problem is absolutely nothing comes up on the screen. I have tried changing system settings updating drivers etc. I am really stuck and the only thinf I can think of is do I need a driver for the TV, I think this is totally wrong and I've never seen TV driver but I am desperate.

    Please Help!

I have a Tecra 8200 manual but there is nothing about it on PG 58. Are you talking about another manual or where did you get yours from (got my from the Toshiba webstie).

What happens if you press FN+F5 on your laptop ?
The Tecra then should display options for TVout

Pressing FN and F5 only makes the screen flicker

    Just more checks:

The Fn F5 instruction in that manual was to hold the FN while repeatedly pressing F5 thru various options.

Also are you sure you have a proper Composite Video Cable?

And on page 59 it mentions an adapter that goes between the cable & computer?

Sorry again that that manual will not allow copy/ paste
