@i need help:
Did u make sure that the external display support is activated in Windows XP ? Have a closer look at the display properties - advanced settings and check if there´s an option to activate multidisplay mode or enable tv support

Just downloaded that frigging Tecra 8200 manual and had a look.
After reading the configuration part for tvout i have a question:
On page 59 it says to connect one end of the RCA cable to a video adapter shipped with the computer. So as i see it the connection has to be like:
Cable from Television into the Video Port Adapter
Cable from the Composite Out on the back of the laptop to the Video Port Adapter
Now the question is, do u use this adapter ?? As without it it won´t work

I bought the laptop second hand and I don't even have an adapter. Would sort of adapter would it be? and is there any software that I could get to help me?

Also happybeaver how do you change do you change the video output format. I haven't seen that option.

You usually have to have a scan converter to use a TV as a computer monitor. They can be purchased at radio shack or CompUSA.
