Running Win XP SP2 on stand alone PC. Have added a second identical HD (Sata no raid). I am set up as administrator and no other users.

The Drive is set up ok: "New Volume (F 74.53 GB NTFS Healthy"

But, I can't do anything with it, if I try to back up or even just click on the
drive in Windows Explorer I get this message:

"The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your System Administrator"

Any help appreciated - thank you.

Wondering if you set up the drive with its' set up software?

Have you right clicked and checked properties?
Checked security? Run error checking under tools?

Under disk management is the background of its' window cross hatched?

Just wondering...
