I have a problem with my WMP too , but would like to have some help on it . Same symptoms, however different problems.

AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 10.0.0.3802 ModName: wmpplu~1.dll
ModVer: 1.2.0.0 Offset: 0000ef47

Everytime I tried opening my mp3 with WMP, it has that problem, and MP3. I tried reinstalling it and worked fine for a few hours, but then came back to that same old problem. Hope someone can figure it out to help me!

I have been going online to figure out what wmpplu~1.dll is, but couldn't find any info on it. Tried search the computer for that file, but also no luck...no files at all!

Have you downloaded any plugins to the media player?

Any new software re: MP3's?

When you say you reinstalled; do you mean WMP10?

Also look in your event viewer for errors re: media player.

event viewer: rt. click My Computer then click Manage then Event Viewer.
open the system as well as the application tabs & look for X errors. click error line for details. post back the source & event id especially of errors that seem to coincide with a crash.
