I installed windows XP on a friends laptop and everytime I tried to install a driver, windows wouldn't reckognize it at all. Now, I'm really desperate, because I installed windows allready 5 times. I know i got the right drivers, and everything else works great.

So please, can anyone help me ???

you know, it doesn't matter what driver i try to install. after the setup, none of them is listed in the device manager. even when i try to intall a driver
manually, windows wouldn't reckognize it either

Have you checked your BIOS? Plug and Play O/S must be set to No for XP.

Not to be confused with your Services within XP which by Default should have Plug and Play set to Automatic.
