Hello!
Please help me!
After installation of a new program I received the message:
Fatal Execution Error (0x7926fcd8)
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xb14(2836), Thread id=0xb20(2848).
Click OK to terminate the application
Click CANCEL to debug the application
I click CANCEL and the next message pops up:
Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to lanch a JIT debugger with following command resulted in an error code of 0x2(2). Please check computer settings.
corbg.exe!a0xb14
What settings? What I have to do?
What program are you trying to install?
Do you have .NET Framework 1.1 installed?
You will find it in Windows Update if not. As well as a hotfix issued just last week.
That error is looking for .NET Framework files.
If it was .NET Framework you were trying to install & you don't have Java installed it is advised to install Java first.
Java Windows (Manual Installation)

Hi jephree,
It looks as .NetFramework 1.1 does not work. I have tried to reinstall it and received the message:
Fatal execution Engine Error (0x7926fvd8)
and same messages that JIT debugger is not availableble and etc.
Updates history shows the download of .NetFramework 1.1 has been failled.
Just to clarify:
Was .NET Framework the program you started this thread about?
Or were you refering to another program?
As to .NET Framework: your error is fairly common.
I found the following fix:
With info from tech support I have solved the problem.
1) From MS Support
Site -Download and install the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility in order to
remove all MS .Net Framework items.
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility
2) Rename your C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET folder to Microsoft.NET.old.1
3) From MS download Site - Download & Install & Restart:
a) Windows Installer 2.0 (if you don't already have it.)
b) Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package
c) Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 SP1.
(Allow a good bit of time for all this.)
& FWIW the JIT debugger requires Java which is why the installation of Java was suggested.
the programm I try to work with is 'Landscape vision'. But when yesterday I downloaded .NetFramework 1.1 the installation gave me same messages as when I try to run 'Landscape vision'.
will try to do what you have adviced me
Hi jephree,
I followed to all of your instructions. Succsess!!!
