Since I bought my computer, i have confronted severe issues.. My computer is always updated, but for some reason, for most games i play (bf1942, rome total war, doom 3) my computer runs it fine.. Really great quality for a while.. then, after a random time, often like 10 mins.. my computer instantly FREEZES solid
IT gets completly non-responsive..

2.8 gHz processer, Asus motherboard, 1 gig ram, 160 Gb harddrive, 2 12cm fans, radeon 9600 xt...

How old is the computer (asking re: waranty)

Are you saying it never worked right? (re: playing high end games)


Check your Event Viewer (rt. clk My Computer then Manage then Event Viewer).
Open the System as well as the Application Tabs & look for errors coinciding with a freeze (times are listed). Post back Source, Event ID, & description.

The computer was bought this summer.. and the warrentee isn't even done yet.. it is a brand new computer.. and is easily able to play games

The games run amazing.. and smooth and such.. no problems.. for a while.. and outa no where.. they just freeze.. they just hang.. and the problem is not our graphics card, over heating, drivers, updates, cpu problems.. We have checked and tried everything.... we can play the game for like 10-20 mins fine before it just DIES...

under waranty is always the possibility to return it.

has this problem been there since day one?

it certainly has the looks of a heat or memory problem; what is it that you have tried?

did you check your event viewer?

I checked my computer temperature and it is fine.. and this problem has existed for months now...

It may be a memory problem, if so.. i don't know how.. We have already had our motherboard replaced, and reformatted several times.. it hasn't solved this particular problem.. it may be a memory problem.. but that is odd because i am never running anything and i have a gig of ram
