Is there any way to get rid of this constant pop-up? I sign into hotmail, I click on a link(to microsoft) and there it is. It shows up in the game section of msn. I am a novice and I need help getting rid of this PIA.

if you have sp2 then click on the line that appears below the toolbar & choose "download file".

I tried that. It just doesn't seem to be downloading at all. The screen comes up to download but I search for it and I can't find it anywhere. Could my security settings be blocking the download through IE?

I downloaded spybot with no trouble. I am following the info given by owen in June 2004. It says not to run the CWShredder before posting a log, etc. I tried several websites including the one that you mentioned and I couldn't get it to down load. Could it be the XP service package. Could it be my security settings?

When I click the link above it tells me that Internet Explorer has stopped the download for security reasons. Or something like that. I finally had to save the program and not run it when it finished. I saved it to my documents and then copied it to program files and made a shortcut on the desktop in order to located it. I thought if you copied something to program files that it would show up in the list of programs? Anyway I ran the Ad-ware finally and will be posting a log later. Can you still help me with the IE problem above?
