Partitioning Drives In Windows XP
Hi,
I am trying to partition my hard drive on Windows XP Home Edition. I have reached the Computer Management screen, where you are supposed to right click on an unallocated region and click Create Partition. However, I cannot seem to see any unallocated space. I checked the settings and this should be coloured lime green, so there is no chance of me missing it.
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Mark

unless you created multiple partitions when you installed xp then you only have one partition and therefore no unallocated space.
you can reinstall xp & create multiple partitions or get something like
Norton PartitionMagic™ 8.0
for $$$
or this freeware tool (albeit complicated)
Ranish Partition Manager

yep..jeph is right....partition magic is very good...i installed and done 4 partitions in about 5 min, its that easy..or the other way...down to choice really...if u cant get a friends partition magic or download it...then a fresh install is needed...software just makes it easier.....
