Is it necessary to delete backweb downloader in xp and if it is how do i go about doing it? Thanks for any help

"Ok, even though you just removed it, I'd thought I'd let you know that the Kodak Backweb program is NOT a malicious program. Since the program was installed, I'm going to assume that you have a Kodak digital camera. This program was installed with the software that came with your digital camera. The Kodak Backweb program is designed to monitor and update your Kodak software automatically whenever a new version of it comes out.

Because it updates your software, it does fall under the classification of "Downloader", so some anti-spyware pages (like PestPatrol for instance) will list the program because of it's "Downloader" status, but even Microsoft's Automatic Updates are listed on these sites as a "Downloader" program (and we all know Automatic Updates are malicious... of course some may argue that point ).

If you're a professional photographer and rely heavily on your Kodak software, you may want to re-install this (odds are that you're not). Otherwise it just means that your Kodak software will not be updated automatically anymore."
