    What Is Wrong????

I have just reinstalled Windows XP Pro....all seems to be working fine. I have changed a few bits of hardware n stuff...recently though my com restarts by itself(not the usual way), the whole computer just goes off and starts up again...u can hear the fan switch off an on again...all this happens in a few seconds.
This thing usual occurs randomly but usually immediatley after i open something like Control Panel, Internat Explorer n stuff. I also get the windows message( Your computer has just recovered from a serious error ) rite after it restarts and logs into windows.
Hear is the technical info from that error message(this is just from one of the times my com restarted):

    C:\DOCUME~1\Shoban\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERb8c0.dir00\Min i020105-03.dmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\Shoban\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERb8c0.dir00\sys data.xml

    System info:
    Intel Pentium 4 (2.4 GHz)
    256 DDR Ram
    32MB Graphics Card (Pro Savage)
Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
    Norton Security 2005

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

change this setting in order to get detailed errors on the next crash:

You can turn off the feature that instructs XP to autostart on system
failure. Right click on My Computer and select Properties->Advanced
    Tab->Startup & Recovery section->Settings button->uncheck "Automatically
restart" Apply. This will give you a blue screen with info on it and you
will have to manually restart the computer. The info might give you an idea
whether or not the problem is hardware or software related.

Post back as complete errors as possible.

Your first errors are just pointing out your memory dump.

Okay, did that....Now instead of restarting, i get this blue screen:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer,
    PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
If this is the first time You have seen this message...bla bla bla.
    Technical information:
    ***Stop: 0x0000004E (0x00000099, 0x0001756c, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Is it a hardware or software prob? I seriouslly hope it aint hardware.

    Did a search on "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT"

Its basically a check of programs that are either overwriting locations that are not their own or bad physical memory (very boiled down) MS knows about it with is support KB, but has no solution to it and I found another site that describes it alittle better but again, no solution.

How to Troubleshoot a "STOP 0x0000004E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT" Error Message

this particular page addresses 2000 but the issue seems to be RAM or drivers not OS.

what new hardware have you added? did your drivers install? new RAM? etc.

welp...it seems to have started after i installed Norton Antivirus
After i did scans n stuff the error message will come out. I ran driver verifier and it failed at this message came out after the program failed twice,

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer,
    SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORRUPTION

The com took ages to load up after that and restarted itself a number of times. I finally managed to remove the Norton Security 2005 and it seems okay for now.
