Hi Guys is there any way I can make my 1.1 usb port into a 2.0 usb port. Is there anything I can add in between to upgrade it.

The hardware is different. To upgrade your computer for USB2 you can
purchase a PCI USB2 card (most have 4 USB ports) and
install the appropriate driver. As you probably know, USB2 peripherals are
backward compatible and will run (at the slower USB 1 speed) on a USB1 port.

So all I have to do is buy PCI usb2 and plug it in my usb1.1 to make it 2.0 (plug and play)
Also how much of a diffrent will it make in the speed

your current USB is on a pci card?

if so replace it or plug the new card into a pci slot.

Yeah I just bought a DVD burner HP DC5000 and when I trasfer my home videos from my movie camara the speed is just slow. although HP recomends a 2.0 ,1.1 will work but at a slow speed
