    CD Problems

I have windows XP and I have a question. Neither one of my cd drives (one is a liteon cd-rom ltn526 and the other is a samsung cd-r/rw sw-248f) will read a cd that is burned in mp3 format. They will read cds that have other files and mp3's, but not a disc that is strictly mp3 files. I have updated windows, tried to update the drivers, tried disabling/enabling the drives and nothing works. Every time I put a mp3 disc in I get a message that says "please go to the control panel to install and configure system components". Could you help me? Thanks.

    Hi,

Do you get the message (please go to the control panel to install and configure system components) when performing any other tasks in Windows ? or is it just playing MP3 CD's? Did you make the CD's?

No, thats the only time I get that error message to come up. I burned the cds myself. The strange thing is, if I right click the drive and click on "explore" I can still play off the disc that way. I am just wondering why it won't play the disc normally. It's strange that it's only with mp3 discs.
