Hi guys can anyone help me out I just bought a HP DC5000 movie dvd recorder, I tried to record a movie and it said it is copywrite protected. I have seen a lot of dvd movies recorded on blank dvd disk is there a way I can get around this and record the movies. If this is bad I will not try it but I intent to use the recorded dvd for my own use. any help would be appreciated.

i think the administrater will agree with me whan i say we at dal can not help much on this matter as it is illegal to duplicate copyrighted material with out permisson

I understand your thought but I just don't want my orignal dvd to get scracked up so thats why I wanna copy them to another disk.

x-copy is useless, i back up all my copywrited material with www.dvdshrink.org its free and easy to use and works perfectly, there is a helpfile at www.doom9.net

I agree.. use Nero as an engin and DvD Srink as the software..

should cure your problem..
