chou can you not delete the IE shortcut and just make one for firefox

Try using the firefox configuration.
Left click > Properites
Target : "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
Start In : "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox"
Shortcut Key : None
Run : Normal Window

ok update, i went onto i shortcut of internet ( not the proper launch one of desktop another one ) and i clicked change icon, the name of the IE icon ( the blue "e" ) is in the system32 folder called shdoclc.dll , i then went onto a firefox shortcut and clicked change icon and then found that folder and it brought up the IE shortcut pic!!!!!
so im getting somewhere, i then renamed it from mozilla firefox to Internet Explorer and now it looks just like the proper one except it still has the little shortcut picture in the bottom left o the icon ( little black arrow in white box )
now, anyone know how to get rid of that?
thanks

chou you are getting me confused here if you want to change the ie shortcut to firefox but your family dont why ever dont you just leave that one alone and just do a simple shortcut to firefox for your self through right click properties

Am I right in that you want to remove the "arrow" from the icon?
TweakUI. Download it &
install, it allows you to remove the shortcut arrow with the minimum of
trouble.
Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP
