    Try using the firefox configuration.

    Left click > Properites
    Target : "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"
    Start In : "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox"
    Shortcut Key : None
    Run : Normal Window

yea i can just delete it and replace it with the firefox but then itl just be a shortcut to firefox and not the proper launcher like the IE one.

as for what C0oLl2iCeF0o was saying i know how to set a shortcut i want to change my IE launcher on desktop so that it launches firefox, so in a way confuse it

what im basicly trying to do i change the target path of the IE shortcut that is on my desktop ( so keep IE icon but it is firefox)

if this dont make sense please just say !

ok update, i went onto i shortcut of internet ( not the proper launch one of desktop another one ) and i clicked change icon, the name of the IE icon ( the blue "e" ) is in the system32 folder called shdoclc.dll , i then went onto a firefox shortcut and clicked change icon and then found that folder and it brought up the IE shortcut pic!!!!!

so im getting somewhere, i then renamed it from mozilla firefox to Internet Explorer and now it looks just like the proper one except it still has the little shortcut picture in the bottom left o the icon ( little black arrow in white box )

now, anyone know how to get rid of that?

    thanks

chou you are getting me confused here if you want to change the ie shortcut to firefox but your family dont why ever dont you just leave that one alone and just do a simple shortcut to firefox for your self through right click properties

    confused

Am I right in that you want to remove the "arrow" from the icon?

    TweakUI. Download it &
install, it allows you to remove the shortcut arrow with the minimum of
    trouble.

    Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP
