    Angry head ache

    i have windows xp and have vaious problem ssince i had it. i am running service pack 2 and aol 9.0.

    when i am on the net i get booted off after several minutes and teh internet restarts it self. which is a really pain.

    also i get a message saying
    this operation could not be omplteted due to low memory or hard drive space but there is nothing else running and i have 512mb of memory.

    i also get a blue screen with error messages regarding devices and bios

    please help

    have you tried running disk cleanup this will speed up your computer no end if you have not done it lately also have you defragged recently

    you can find these both on this path

    start>all programs>accessories>system tools

    This is symptomatic of one of the recent viruses/worms. Do you have anti virus programs and are they up to date? You may need to download a worm removal tool if you have one. What diagnostics have you run? Have you run a virus scan:

    gemma
    please post the full error messages.

    also check the Event Viewer for errors & post.
    go to Start > Run > eventvwr.msc
    click the error line for details; especially the Source & Event ID.

    Have you run a complete virus scan with an updated reputable program and run a set of programs for adware and malware such as Adaware & Spybot?

    Next - when was the last time you system operated in an acceptable manner?

    If it was recently you can go to Start -All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore and Restore the system back to a state where it was working properly.

    This will give you the opportunity to prevent, if possible, what happened.
