hi can someone pls help,
Everytime i watch a a dvd or playgames, my pc crashes, it just stops responding and just the frozen picture is left, its really frustrating!!! the only way to get it going again is to turn off the pc and restart, i have got an intel pentium 4, 512 memory and 160gig hard drive of which i have used about 60gig, I don't know too much about pc's so easy to understand instructions would be most appreciated.

Look in the Device Manager for your Video/ Graphics card.

Start > Run > devmgmt.msc

Look for yellow "!". Click on the card to get a details window. Look for errors there.

Also post back the ID of your card. The make & model should be clear in the Manager.

Also look in the Event Viewer for red X errors that coincide with a freeze up.

Start > Run > eventvwr.msc

Click on an error line for details and post back errors including the Source & Event ID found in the upper right section of the error window.
