pc crashes whist encoding
hello,
my pc crashes when i play medal of honor pacific assault,this is the only game that crashes so far,however when i try and encode files for burning my pc always crashes.I have tried nero,dvd santa,and various others but it always crashes when encoding.can anyone point me in the right direction to try and solve this problem,ie does this point to a damaged video card,or is more likely to be memory problem.
no other problems with video card,also is there any software that would record the cause of the crash in report form(that a novice could understand),or how do i test memory.
any help would be most welcome.

To recieve error messages follow the following:
You can turn off the feature that instructs XP to autostart on system
failure. Right click on My Computer and select Properties->Advanced
Tab->Startup & Recovery section->Settings button->uncheck "Automatically
restart" Apply. This will give you a blue screen with info on it and you
will have to manually restart the computer. The info might give you an idea
whether or not the problem is hardware or software related.
Also: check your Event Viewer for errors:
START > RUN > eventvwr.msc
you can post errors here for reading.
