I have just taken delivery of 60 HPDC7100C desktop PC's with SATA drives, They come with the XP Pro OEM build and normally I would create an image and build all the machines that way, but this has been proving a big problem .
So as a test I took one out of the box booted it up with HP's XPSP1 PRO OEM build and installed the Novell Client 4.9sp1a.
The Novell Client installs ok apart from missing one of the biggest componets for my site and this is the remote agent. So I thought I know I will install the client again making sure to select custom setting and include remote agent. When I reboot the machine gets past the Novell login box runs the script, starts to load the desktop then reboots I have tried different ways of installing XP but the same thing happens. I have tried 5 of the same machine. I have come to the conclusion that it is the new SATA drives, as this is the first machine I have had with this particular drive and have never expericed problems like this before. Can anyone suggest anything all suggestions will be gratefully received.
