    this is another method:

    Go to C:\Windows\Repair, right-click autoexec.nt and select copy. Paste it into your C:\Windows\System32 folder, overwriting the existing file.

    i tried this and then i tried to install my game and it said install so i clicked install and then it disappeared. so i went into the disc file and clicked on setup.exe.
    i got this message.
    D:\setup.exe is not a valid win 32 application.
    did i screw up my computer??

    I doubt that you did anything to your computer. The repair file just overwrote the existing with what should have been there in the first place.

    is your computer 'normal'? besides this game?

    have you tested the compatability with XP?

    is it just this one game that gives you this error?

    yes my computer is usually normal,
    as for the game it is compatable because i had the game installed before. now all of a sudden i can not install it, it is my games like zeus, pharoh and a few others

    The file on the disk should be the same as the file in repair which you used.
    But to awnser your question; yes, any XP disk will have that file.

    This issue is often associated with spyware/ malware/ adware; have you had any indications of that?

    I would suggest rebooting & try to run the game again.
    Also I would suggest if this problem just occured that you try a restore point;
    start > all programs > accessories > system tools > system restore
    choose a restore point prior to any problems.
