the only thing different now is that it will only work for up to five minutes. it has been suggested that my computer has a bug that is why my computer isn't working properly since i had that trojan virus. i am thinking that i may have to reformat my computer.

As to reinstalling XP here is a good guide if you need it:

A repair install will save your data and programs while resetting XP itself.

The only other tips I found as to the games issue were to update your audio & vidio drivers
