I am trying to run some old (classic) games using xp, but do not know how to (not being paticulary computer minded). Is there a simple way, or a program I can download somewhere?
As far as i understand XP doesnt have proper dos.
any ideas?

Correct, in the good 'ole' days the OS sat on top of DOS. These days DOS is sidelined and sits on top of the OS. Gone are the days when you could hook into INT13 of the OS... but I prattle on...

If you want to run DOS games theres a compatibility option on the DOS box, can't remember it too well. But if you go here I'm sure you'll get all the answers you seek - and a few more games :-)
