Re: problem with opening file in MS Excel
thanks - I also still try here all what I can - now I gonna try to install on old hdd old win 95 and old MS office 97
-
if you are going to do all that why dont you just install windows xp installing this operating system should give you more stability aswell as being more modern
-
I reinstalled XP, also tried to open that on next PC with XP and it doesn"t work, ok? that"s why I try also 95...
-
i have had a word with one of the other techies and he has suggested this download
http://download.openoffice.org/index.html try this if not i amafraid that the file is corrupt in which case you may need to seek some data recovery experts
hope this helps

I"m almost sure it"s any virus - now I took next (small) hdd where I had also system XP and which was connected to PC when also disk with my file was connected there - and this small hdd I formated and install MS DOS 6.22 - then I wanna try Win 95 ... - but MS DOS still says that "virus in bootsector". Before I"m sure that disk was clean - only Win XP and never connected to internet ... colleague also said me that PC where we had that file in Excel often restarted last days - but antivirus never found anything ... my PC started also something restarts now here when I"m trying still open that my file
