    end it all

hi guys. until recently, possibly before SP2, i had the program 'end it all' by ziff-davis which had the ability to shut down all non essential programs before playing games etc. but now all i get is the box but no programs are listed inside. i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but still the box remains empty. all help on this would be most appreciated.

What version do you have installed joeyramone? Mine is working fine with SP2 installed.

hi bear, sorry for the delay, but it's the same as the one you are showing although like i say there are no programs listed inside the box. also when i press ctrl alt and delete there only appears to be two running programs listed when i know for sure that there is more than that working away. i'm stumped. and, as i'm trying to install the game 'far cry' but without any luck, it suggests turning off all unnessessary programs running in the back ground. i used to be able to but can't any more. any other suggestions.

p.s in windows task manager under the tab 'processes' when we press the end process button a warning box tells of undesired effects to system stability and so on. can you safely stop these apps from running and which ones are a definate no no to stop running. also the ones we've chosen to stop will they then start again upon system restart. oh come back 'end it all' what a great little app you are.
