Hi,

I'm having a problem with an error message and auto shut-down and re-booting of my PC.

After working for a while, a message pops saying an error has been encounted and the PC will have to shut down. The message comes with a counter which gives 60 seconds then the computer shuts down and re-boots.

The message reads like ".......error encountered, windows will have to shut down.Error: Windows/System32/ISASS.exe, status code 1073741819...." The message comes up at varying times, though it seems to pop more when I'm online.

Any ideas folks?

this is called the blaster worm, when it first was released by whoever it affected thousands of people. to fix it go here

The question is though............how did it manage to get in?
Antivirus and firewall should be set to recognise it.....and alert....
