hi guys, i wonder if you can help. for some reason the top of my computer sreen is black. it is onlt about an inch wide but everything i've tried has failed to get it to fully fit the screen. it should be set for 800x600, which it still is, but for some reason i still have this black portion present. it seems to have happened all of a sudden after playing a game but i've played this game many times and nothing like this has happened before. also whenever i open up a new web page it only opens in a small minimised box and i constantly have to resize it, but yet again it never fills the complete screen and i still have this one inch black portion at the top. any help resolving this would be most appreciated.

hmm is it somthing to do with your monitor? (resizing your screen?) on mine i cant actualy resize my screen but on my old pc i had just a normal monitor (no flat screen) and i could in a way shrink the screen size, hence leaving black bars at the top because the screen wasent there to cover it, if you tell me your monitor il see if i can help.

i'm so sorry chou. it was only my stupid 10 year old son fiddling with the screen adjusters that had left the screen like that. you see i'd panicked and thought it was something i'd done after the game i was on. and it was only after he got in from school that he'd told me it had been him. kids eh, who'd have 'em.
