i have intervideo windvd that came with my comp, and one day i put a dvd into my drive and waited...nothing, i tryed opening that drive in my comp. and it was jsut blank, then i realized that the intervideo dvd player program was no where to be found on my comp.. so i went into the hp recovery app. and tryed re-installing windvd, it said installation was complete..but its still no where to be found. and also when ever i put in a game disk into that same drive the desktop freezes up for a while and it takes like 10 min to get back to working order???

hmm well first of all i would try completly removing it, eg uninstalling it , deleted all the files associated with it ( unless there is any saved files you want to keep) and then i would reinstall it, get the update/drivers for it, and if you still cant find it try and remember where you installed it to, if you still cant find it then just simply do a windows search for it.

i tryed going into everything that has the program abd deleting them, and tryed recovering windvd and it still did the same thing, told me it was installed but still it's not on my comp.. i did recently install windows xp service pack 2, this was before i noticed that intervideo was gone.... could that be the problem?? i didnt really read any instructions before i installed it, could that have taken it off for any reason??
