What does this 'hijack ' thing that I keep reading about mean.
I love my computer but don't really understand all the technical talk.
I have been advised to do this hijack thing but am a bit concerned because it all sounds a bit difficult. Is it easy to do ??

Is it easy to use? Yes it is simply run the program and then save the log and post it on the Spyware, Adware and Viruses forum After you post your log one of the D-A-L mods will analyze it and tell you what needs to be done to correct any problems found. HTH

basiccly hotgoss its just a way of looking to see if you got any spyware/addware on your pc.

Also it helps to show what processes are starting up on login...... a lot of them aren't needed.

my computer seems to take a long while to load everything after you log on . is there an easy way to check what I need on there and what I don't

Hijack This. If you go to the Spyware, Adware and Viruses board and read my post called Hijack This Logs, it explains how to post a log. First of all run the recommended antispyware programs and then post your Hijack This log. Believe me, it is easy once you have posted the log. Everything we want you to do is explained.

And then post your log on that board...
