I Have A Packard Bell Windows Xp

When I Put A Dvd Disk Into The Dvd Rom, And I Click On Dvd Drive (d) It Keeps Coming Up. Please Insert A Disk Into Drive D.

Please Can Anyone Tell Me Why The Dvd Drive Is not Recognising That It
Has A Disk In.

Or A Quality Dvd Burner. ( On A Budget Scale)

I had the same problem with a samsung dvd drive and after lots of efforts to resolve the problem I learned that if the green light flashes and disk refuses to spin it is a physical problem with the drive and I had to bin mine,however you can try to fix your problem by downloading the proper and latest firmware from your drive manufacturers website and also check the obvious,is your driver the right one,also having dvd drive and hard drive/cd-rom drive on same ide cable may cause conflict.
