    Doing a screen capture

With the screen you wish to capture showing hit the print scr key (captures entire screen) or alt-print scr (captures only the active window)

Next click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click Paint. Now click edit and then paste. Save the screen cap as a .jpg to a location where it's easy to locate ( like My Documents or the Desktop)

Next click Manage Attachments and browse to the saved screen cap and left click it and choose open. Now click Upload, you will see a message saying Uploading file or files please wait. Once that completes click Close this window and send your message. HTH

Perhaps the easiest thing would be to do a system restore.

    start/ all programs/ accessories/ system tools/ system restore

choose a date or time prior to the changes you made & restore.

do you remember what option you changed?

the only difference I see in your 2 shots is the size of the upper bar; is that it?

the only option I see under control panel/ accessability options for display is "high contrast"
    it should be UNchecked.

also run the accessability wizard found via
    start/ all programs/ accessories/ accessability/ accessability wizard
here choose all defaults & apply

right click on the desk top that will bring up a menu then click on properties then click on appearance then click on advanced then by selecting certain bits you can change the colours or icons size but remember to click on apply before you come out if not you will have to do it again
