    fps = frames per second.

    when you play the game do you close all other programs?

    it would be good to see a hardware scan:

    D-A-L Hardware Scan

    Open 0r Run this scan (do not save); then copy to clipboard then paste in a post here.

    Your machine seems plenty good to run such a game.

    Have you ever played with no problems? In other words: Is this a new problem within this game?

    Again: Have you closed all other programs while you play?

    Does the game have a "Settings" section? To adjust display options?

    Finally (for now) ( ) What is your connection? DSL? Cable? Do you know what your ISP transfer rate is?

    isp is internet service provider; in your case: verizon.

    try turning norton off while you play as it does run every now and then in the background. as long as you're in the game & not surfing the net or opening any external files, you should be ok disabling norton while you play. When you finish play turn it back on.

    are there settings for display rates or refresh rates? anything to do with speed or transfer rates?

    Is this a single machine? Or network? Are you logged on as Administrator?

    What Norton package is this? Is it a single program?

    What icons are down in your system tray (bottom bar; right corner) right click Norton entries & choose disable or exit if that option is available. If that doesnt work you can stop certain Norton features from starting at all, if you dont want them. If they are individual programs (rather than a package), they can be uninstalled.
