fps = frames per second.
when you play the game do you close all other programs?
it would be good to see a hardware scan:
D-A-L Hardware Scan
Open 0r Run this scan (do not save); then copy to clipboard then paste in a post here.

Your machine seems plenty good to run such a game.
Have you ever played with no problems? In other words: Is this a new problem within this game?
Again: Have you closed all other programs while you play?
Does the game have a "Settings" section? To adjust display options?
Finally (for now) (
) What is your connection? DSL? Cable? Do you know what your ISP transfer rate is?
-
Well first yes this is the first time i have came across this problem and i am with u and i think my comp is plent good to be running this game!Umm i dont run ne other programs such as aim when i play, but b4 i had this problem i did and i still didnt hit these lag spikes.I did install nortons anti virus which right now is the only thing i canthink of that can cause my game to lag.Umm i am running verizon dsl, which i know can have its probs but they never gave me any trouble b4
and i have heard of isp but am not really familar with it.
-
ohh sorry yes my game has a settings in the game wat would u like to know about the settings?
-
isp is internet service provider; in your case: verizon.
try turning norton off while you play as it does run every now and then in the background. as long as you're in the game & not surfing the net or opening any external files, you should be ok disabling norton while you play. When you finish play turn it back on.
are there settings for display rates or refresh rates? anything to do with speed or transfer rates?
-
well i will check on the options but for now,i am not too sure how to turn my nortons off.there is security person firewall intrusion detection norton anti viru, privacy controll ad blocking norton antispam and parental control
SHOULD I TURN THEM ALL OFF OR IF NOT JUS TELL ME THE ONES I NEED TO TURN OFF SO THAT MY GAME DOESN LAGG!thanks for u help
-
sorry to bother u again but the only ones it says i can turn off are the controlls under my settings which are privacy controll ad blocking and norton antispam
the others says that i dont have the necessary right
and too be honest with u i am quite confused with all the things this program is running is there jus an easy way i can disable evrything if soo please tell me
-
Is this a single machine? Or network? Are you logged on as Administrator?
What Norton package is this? Is it a single program?
What icons are down in your system tray (bottom bar; right corner) right click Norton entries & choose disable or exit if that option is available. If that doesnt work you can stop certain Norton features from starting at all, if you dont want them. If they are individual programs (rather than a package), they can be uninstalled.
